Concerns potential spring flooding could hurt the 2010 census count has prompted census officials to join with local leaders to remind you to fill out your census form and mail the questionaire back as soon as you receive it. Regional Census Director Cathy Lacy says it will only take 10 minutes.
Walaker tells KFGO News, "because of the flooding considerations we prioritized the area's we were told had the tendency to flood early...so for the majority of those area's, the questionaires have already been delivered...you can fill them out and send them back...for city residents you won't get them until next week."
Fargo Mayor Dennis Walaker says it's important to get an accurate report. For every person missed in the count, it costs local governments a thousand dollars or 10-thousand dollars over a decade.
