Mandan, N.D. (AP) A Mandan man accused of assaulting a woman and tying her up with duct tape has pleaded not guilty to three charges.
Fifty-three-year-old Robert Gray is charged with terrorizing, aggravated assault and felonious restraint. He was arrested in late January after a standoff with police.
Gray is accused of punching his 21-year-old neighbor, choking her and then duct-taping her hands, feet and mouth. Authorities say gray told the woman he wanted her to watch him kill himself, but she was able to convince him to let her go.
Gray has a criminal record that includes a 1979 homicide conviction in Maryland.
